Burning Bunnies for Biofuel

Currently doing some research on whether one can outfit a Volkswagen Rabbit to run on rabbit stew.

He TEACHES Journalism?

You’d think a self-proclaimed expert with decades of experience would have picked an actual anonymous blogger rather than myself to use as an example of anonymous blogging from the right. My name is on every piece of text I write, including when I comment. Or do I really have to put a profile page up and talk about myself in the third person?

John, a simple Google search would tell you who I am. Maybe get one of your pupils to show you how to use a search engine. I’d email you but I guess you’re still trying to get sympatico to come to your house to hook up your email for you.

Kate had a few comments of her own. Thanks for pointing it out Kate, I never would have seen that the doctor wrote about me. For some reason, I never look at his site. Am I allowed to call him a doctor if he isn’t actually a doctor?

Tragedy can't stop the Parties

Police asked the estimated 15,000 concertgoers, who had pitched tents and parked RVs, to remain on site Saturday night to avoid a panic and traffic snarls. Most retreated to their campsites to talk about what happened or to party. [emphasis mine]

Did they really need to add the party piece?

Uppity Blacks vs. Blue Collar Whites

Are rich black people above the law? Maybe. DesireG gets all cranky for Obama and Gates “pimpin’ the moment.”

All I can say is that if this professor is what Harvard is using these days, I’m glad I went elsewhere.

One plus One

OK, let me get this straight. Pot is bad for your health. Smoking is bad for your health. If you do both it doesn’t cancel out?

How much did we pay for this study?

People who habitually smoke both tobacco and marijuana are about three times more likely than non-smokers to develop serious lung disease, according to results of a British Columbia study.

Africa Aid is like the AIG Bailout

George Ayittey

Americans were justifiably outraged when AIG, which received billions in U.S. taxpayer money in bailouts, paid out hefty bonuses to its executives. So where is the outrage when African leaders, who receive U.S. taxpayers’ money in foreign aid, build palaces for themselves while their people wallow in abject poverty?

Ready. Aim. Autograph.

A passing motorist pointed a handgun at former Dallas Cowboy Michael Irvin as he drove in Far North Dallas on Monday night, according to a police report. The Pro Football Hall of Fame member was not injured.

Not even emotionally hurt?

“So we started talking about the Cowboys and everything,” he said. “Then they got back on the highway.” “I tell you what, I’m glad he was a Cowboy fan,” Irvin said.

My guess is that Mr. Romo wouldn’t be so lucky. The remarkable part of this story is that it wasn’t Pacman Jones with the gun.

Inconvenient Remote

It is an inconvenient movie in an inconvenient location. I can hear it, I can see the remote from where I am sitting, but I can’t get up the desire to go and turn Al Gore off. Sure, no one is watching the TV but I only have so much energy to deal with myself.

I guess I’ll just have to wait for the snow to start reeking havoc with our power grid to have the TV turn off itself.

Don’t worry, I’m not listening to him anymore. I turned up my music.

Now, to continue my letter to the CBC to complain about the influence of American politicians on our National broadcaster. What about the Canadian content? We need more HOCKEY!

Justice is not a German Interest

I’m not sure if this policy is very effective at promoting tourism in Germany.

The German government in Berlin later ordered the Somali pirates released because they were not caught while harassing German interests, according to BBC.

The only thing I can say is that I hope they released them into the waters about 15 miles off shore with cement boots on.
